In a mawkish, sentimental mood ...

A friend of mine on Facebook linked this song to her status. Her claim is that Dan Hill originally wrote "Sometimes When We Touch" to be sung by either Barry Manilow or Olivia Newton-John. Now, Barry I could see singing it, and doing a credible rendition. (In fact, I had to check my BM collection to make sure he hadn't!) But it's still hard for me to hear anyone other than Hill sing it; I know no other pop song that captures the ambivalence and uncertainty of passionate love so well.

Besides, I'm a sucker for '70s love songs ....
